NEW! DLP: 3D printing technology

Investment in 3D Printing technology has always been a priority for Prototype Projects. At the end of 2018, we boosted our SLS capacity; before that, we invested in SLS dyeing and SLS & SLA texturing technologies.

Our latest investment sees the installation of DLP, a speedy 3D-printing technology that is ideal for functional prototyping and very low volume production.

Rapid prototyping

DLP delivers an ultra-high print speed meaning parts can be printed rapidly, enabling our customers to take advantage of our next working day dispatch option available on all of our 3D printing technologies. The exciting thing about DLP is that, depending upon the requirement, there is the potential that the part could be printed and dispatched the same day.

Quality of parts

Another benefit of DLP is that its speed does not compromise the quality and accuracy of parts. The surface of parts can also be textured in a similar fashion to the SLA and SLS texturing solution we offer.

When would you use DLP?

DLP is ideal for function prototyping and concept models. It can also be used for jigs and fixtures, moulds and master patterns, as well as investment casting jewellery patterns and end-use durable plastic parts.
