We offer five 3D printing technologies and multiple material options. If the material you want is not mentioned below, talk to us and we will endeavour to help.
The information is presented below so you can see which materials we offer with each 3D printing technology. To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
If you need prototype parts for patient contact, please talk to us about your needs.
If none of the materials below meet your needs, CNC machining could be a better alternative because almost any solid material can be machined for prototype or end-use parts. Another option is vacuum casting in various grades of polyurethane.
Matrix Clear
Water-clear, similar properties to polycarbonate, with good moisture resistance. Can be lacquered or painted, and tapped or have inserts installed. USP Class VI capability for patient contact applications.
Matrix Cream
Cream-coloured with good flexibility, similar properties to polypropylene. Can be lacquered or painted, and tapped or have inserts installed.
Matrix Grey
Grey-coloured, similar properties to ABS. Can be lacquered or painted, and tapped or have inserts installed.
Matrix HT300
Ultra-high temperature-resistant rigid plastic engineered to withstand the harshest thermal environments.
To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
Matrix PA12 CR
A high-specification, versatile, carbon-reduced white material with high strength, stiffness, abrasion resistance and long-term dimensional stability. Biocompatible for use in medical applications (EN ISO 10993-1 and USP/level VI/121 °C) and approved for food contact (EU plastics directive 2002/72/EC). Note that our SLS machines are not installed in our medical cell.
To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
DLP is a versatile 3D printing technology with wide choice of materials.
Materials held in stock:
Matrix FX-BLK 20
A black, flexible, durable, fatigue-resistant, impact-resistant material with long-term environmental stability. Similar properties to polypropylene
Matrix HTA300
A translucent amber material with high strength, stiffness and temperature resistance (>300 °C)
Matrix 150C FR Black
UL94 V0 rated flame-retardant black plastic with >150˚C heat deflection temperature
Matrix PB10
A black material with high stiffness, good thermal resistance (70 °C), and excellent surface quality and repeatability
Matrix RB65
A mid-tear strength, production-grade rubber combined with Shore 65A hardness and a high elongation at break
Matrix White 60
A white plastic for long-term use parts with a good combination of impact strength, elongation, and tensile strength
Matrix FR VO Black
A tough, production-grade flame-retardant additive manufacturing material that passes UL94 V0 test standards
To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
EGGSHELL-AMB 10
A material for building sacrificial tooling when casting silicone parts
ELAST-BLK 10
A black, rubber-like material
FLEX-BLK 10
A black, flexible, durable material with similar properties to polypropylene
JCAST-GRN
A green material for creating detailed master patterns for investment casting jewellery
MED-AMB 10
A translucent amber material with high stiffness and good thermal resistance, suitable for applications requiring biocompatibility
MED-WHT 10
A white material with high stiffness, good thermal resistance (102 °C) and excellent humidity/moisture resistance, suitable for applications requiring biocompatibility
RGD-GRY 10
A grey, rigid material with high build speed
RGD-GRY 15
A grey, rigid, durable material
RUBBER-BLK 10
A black, malleable material with high tear strength for producing hard, rubber-like parts requiring long-term environmental stability
TOUGH-BLK 20
A black, high-strength material with long-term UV stability and mechanical properties similar to ABS. Often used for functional parts
PolyJet prints with multiple materials simultaneously. Base materials can be used on their own or combined to create Digital materials. PolyJet can therefore produce parts that are rigid and opaque, transparent, similar to polypropylene or rubber-like (Shore A from 30 to 95).
Matrix PJ White
White, relatively stiff and strong
Matrix PJ 30a
Black, rubber-like
Matrix PJ Clear
Clear, otherwise similar to Vero White, often used to simulate acrylic
Elastomeric
Matrix PJ 30a combined with Matrix PJ White or Matrix PJ Clear to give the required material properties
Engineering plastics
Matrix PJ White or Matrix PJ Clear combined with Matrix PJ 30a to give the required material properties
To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
Matrix HTL
This High Temp Low-viscosity, high-performance engineering material, has excellent strength and rigidity. Finished parts are also heat-resistant and withstand temperatures up to 114°C.
Matrix BIO
A biocompatible resin suitable for non-implantable medical applications. This material can be sterilised and has passed numerous ISO 10993 biocompatibility tests.
To find out more about each material, visit our Materials Datasheets page.
Some 3D printed parts only achieve their full potential after finishing. The choice of finishes depends on the material but we offer the following: SLS dyeing, painting, lacquering, blackout/RFI/EMC coatings, electroless plating and vacuum metallisation.
See our Finishing options page for more information.
