PROTOTYPE PROJECTS PRESS RELEASE
November 2018, Royston, Hertfordshire, UK
Investment boosts capacity for fast SLS Rapid Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing
Royston-based prototyping experts Prototype Projects has added further to its portfolio of 3D printing, rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing capabilities, with new investment in a Formiga P110 Velocis Laser Sinter System from EOS Gmbh.
The Velocis is a highly advanced industrial 3D printer comprising innovative new software and hardware features, which delivers exceptional productivity.
The new investment, which boosts Prototype Projects SLS capacity by over 30%, comes on the back of June’s investment of more than £100K in custom, precision SLS dyeing and SLS & SLA texturing technologies.
“SLS is the biggest growth area for us right now,” says Justin Pringle, Managing Director of Prototype Projects.
“Our latest Formiga SLS machine not only delivers extra capacity, but also allows us to meet the growing demand for our SLS Express (next day) service. Its high reliability and FORMIGA quality set the standard in the 3D Printing market.
“For customers who don’t need our Express next day SLS service, our new capacity also means we can offer extremely competitive pricing for our Standard & Economy SLS services, and further savings can be made for production quantities and lead times”
The SLS Express service, combined with Prototype Projects’ unique “Print-to-Product” custom, repeatable SLS dyeing and texturing capabilities, positions Prototype Projects as one of the UK’s leading independent 3D Printing specialists.
In September, Prototype Projects launched its SLS dyeing and texturing services at the Engineering Materials Live and TCT shows.[ENDS]
