Expanding our CNC service

Over the past few years, we have worked hard to grow our CNC team to meet customer demand.

As 2019 became 2020, we decided it was time to develop our CNC service level so that our CNC offering was similar to our 3D printing offering. We offer four service levels on our 3D printing technologies which range from Express through to Super-Economy. These service levels allow our customers to keep their projects on track, whether they are managing tight timescales or tight budgets. 

But, given the health and economic difficulties the country found itself dealing with at the end of March, we momentarily paused our plans to ensure our staff were safe and that we were able to continue meeting customer demand, especially as many of our customers were working on the Ventilator Challenge as well as PPE supplies. 

The last few months have been testing and made all of us think and work differently.

Like many businesses, we were able to continue with business as usual throughout lockdown, albeit that it was challenging at times. Despite our safety measures, we were delivering our CNC service with a restricted workforce of just 50% at one point. Regardless, our team pulled together to ensure they continued to deliver milled and turned parts. 

Throughout lockdown, and now that restrictions have been lifted, our CNC team has been in great demand. So great that we are delighted to have welcomed three new members to the team. We’ll let them settle in before we introduce you properly. We operate a suite of ten machines, these cover milling and turning, as well as other necessary equipment to run a successful CNC department, so there’s a lot for them to learn! 

Because of the expansion of our CNC team, we are now pleased to be in the final stages of developing our new CNC service level. We’ll tell you more about it soon, but in the meantime, we look forward to continuing to deliver your quality CNC parts.
