We understand the importance of finding the right supplier and we know that we may not always be the right fit for you. To help you make your decision, we’ve listed our top competitors with a brief overview of the services they offer. Of course, we hope you’ll choose to work with us, but we’re proud to work alongside these great companies:
One of the newer rapid prototyping companies in the UK, Paragon was established in 2003. They offer 3D printing and CNC machining for prototyping and low volume manufacturing. Like us, they offer 3D printing in SLA, SLS and FDM. They offer SLS parts in standard nylon PA650 & glass filled PA615 nylon, whereas we offer PA2200 nylon. Paragon also offers Vacuum Casting & Model Making services. They can CNC machine small and large parts as they have a good range of machines. You can obtain a cost online for SLA or SLS parts.
Founded in 1990, Materialise is a global company offering a range of 3D printing services including: SLA, SLS, MJF, FDM, Metal 3D, Polyjet and Somos TetraShell for casting patterns. In addition, they offer Vacuum Casting. Customers can benefit from their “print faster” option for smaller printed parts. They offer a vast range of materials for 3D printing and you can receive instant quotations via their online quoting system.
Founded in 1999, Protolabs started out by reducing the time it took to get injection moulded plastic parts. Like us, they offer fast turnaround for CNC Machining and 3D Printing; they continue to offer Injection Moulding. With sites in Europe, the UK and the US, they offer quotes via their online quoting platform for all processes with a range of manufacturing times available.
CA Models, established in 1983, is like Prototype Projects in that we both offer rapid prototyping and precision CNC machining and specialist model making services.
They offer five different additive manufacturing departments, providing a flexible service to their customers. They run metal additive manufacturing on two machines; this is a service that we do not offer. Like us, they offer 3D printing in SLA, SLS, FDM and Polyjet.
They also offer Vacuum Casting and CNC machining with 5-axis milling and inspection.
Currently they don’t offer an online quoting option.
MNL, a rapid prototyping company, was established in 1970. A family-run company, like Prototype Projects, MNL is home to two of the largest SLA printers in the UK – 800mm x 800mm x 600mm. Like us, they offer a good range of processes: SLA, SLS, FDM, CNC Machining and Vacuum Forming.
