Senior Model Maker
Prototype Projects is an innovative and growing prototype and model making bureau and now has a new position available for a Senior Model Maker.
We require a skilled Senior Model Maker. The ideal candidate will be someone who is used to working with all 3D printing processes now used for the model making projects we undertake, from preparation of RAW 3D Prints to fully painted and detailed models.
The successful candidate will be part of our 12-strong Rapid Prototyping Team. You will need to be able to work within a team environment and work as guided by the Team Leaders as well as offering your own experience to the team. You will be required to work on various projects at the same time, we work to very tight time schedules, so your ability to manage your own workflow in a professional and efficient manner is essential.
- Experience with 3D Printing processes (SLA/SLS)
- Good workshop practices
- Spray painting equipment (essential)
- Master model and silicone tool preparation for vacuum casting (essential)
- Vacuum casting (ideally, but not essential)
- Model Making: 10 years (minimum preferred)
- 12 x 3D Printing machines (SLA/SLS/FDM/Polyjet)
- 5 x CNC Machining Centres
- 2 x CNC Turning Centres
- Paint shop
- Fully equipped workshop
The company currently employs 22 people.
